Power brushes are employed in industrial applications to remove the contaminated surfaces of the work pieces. These acts as essential components to remove the by-products while manufacturing, burrs and other sharp edges, that decreases the safety hazards and also to improve the performance as well as the functionality of the work piece.   1. Wheel brush:

Wheel brushes are the most common types of power brushes that are categorized as crimped and knot compositions. These brushes provide straight line brushing action for cleaning and polishing, removal of paint and scale. These suit several types of hand held grinders as bench grinders, robotic finishing equipment and other driven tools in the production process. Spiral brushes are manufactured with a broad line of the wheel brushes. Crimped wire or synthetic varieties of natural fibers are most commonly used wheel brushes. Twisted type wire brushes are filled with straight wire with various specifications that provides higher levels of brushing action with aggressive cutting edge strokes.

  1. End brush:

These end brushes are use where the industrial cleaning is taken place especially in the restricted areas. The end wire brush is mostly applied to polish the molds and dies, cleaning the castings, brushing the holes internal surfaces, removal of flash, spot facing, welding surface preparation. The typical use of the end brushes involves air tools, drill press, electric press etc. that are hand held.  These are used for deburring materials and tools. The filling section of the brush may contain steel wire, stainless steel, bras wire, horse hair etc. These are used as bakery oven brushes, in brick and block production, fiber glass insulation, glass cleaners, metal fabricating, oil and gas pipeline inspection, saw mill production etc. Steel, Brass, Bronze, Nylon, Polyester brushes are the types of cylinder brushes.

  1. Strip brushes:

Strip brushes are used to perform multiple functions in a production environment. These brushes are featured with formable metal structural elements. The brush filling depends on the materials used. A brush strip can function as a brush seal on equipment pieces. It acts as a flexible shield against dust, light and heat. The strip brush can function as product hold down, as a detector of holes, a static reduction device and a duster that removes loose material. If this brush is placed on a conveyor line then it stabilizes the moving product and also it sweeps the loose burrs. It works as flexible moving product that is capable and flexible in work without causing any damage.


  1. Cup brushes:

Cup brushes are used to remove the scales, rust and paint. It is also used for deburring and polishing action. Many fill materials are suitable in the tasks as surface preparation and other finishing operations.
